An Automated Hydroponics Initiative
One of our current flagship efforts is an improved, automated hydroponics system being developed within our school community. This project aims to make fresh, sustainable growing possible year-round, even in spaces without access to soil or outdoor land. The design is intended to be affordable, replicable, and adaptable for other Green Scouts chapters, so that students across the country can integrate hydroponics into their local projects. With funding pending from our school district and administration, we see this system not only as a practical tool, but as a demonstration of how innovation and sustainability can be woven into everyday life — and how young people can lead that change from the ground up.
