Hydroponic Gardens Across Nashville

This fall, our chapter is launching a new initiative to bring hydroponic gardens to community spaces throughout Nashville and its surrounding suburbs. The project aims to make sustainable food growing more accessible in urban and suburban environments.

We’ll be installing compact, space-efficient hydroponic towers in schools, community centers, and public areas so residents can learn about sustainable agriculture firsthand. These systems allow plants to grow without soil, using nutrient-rich water instead. They’re perfect for places where space and resources are limited.

Our first gardens will feature fast-growing herbs and leafy greens like basil and lettuce.

Beyond this, our team is starting to host educational workshops on topics like waste sorting, water conservation, and sustainable design, encouraging participants to take an active role in creating a cleaner, greener community. Make sure you check out the school calendar to learn about upcoming events!
