Hiking for Change

Our Brooklyn chapter is preparing to take part in PlanetHike, a global not-for-profit initiative that transforms walking into a force for climate action and community impact. On September 14, 2025, walkers in over 20 cities around the world will come together to support trees, clean water, and community art!

PlanetHike’s mission is much like ours: empowering youth to take local environmental action and reconnect with the green spaces around them. Through this collaboration, our chapter hopes to host a local PlanetHike walk in New York City, giving students and community members the chance to raise awareness and contribute to meaningful environmental causes here in Brooklyn.
